Welcome to:
SUPPORT AMERICAN MILITARY
AMERICANS HELPING AMERICANS
| At SUPPORT AMERICAN MILITARY, we endeavor to assist in any way available to us anyone who has protected, provided, and defended freedom whether through military service, fire service, or police service. Politics will never play a part in this organization. |
 |
SUPPORT AMERICAN MILITARY was founded by Jonathan E. Wright, a thirty-three year veteran of the fire service who participated in the search and rescue operations at Ground Zero in the World Trade Center after the collapses of the towers.
|
Mr. Wright has received numerous life saving awards for his actions during his career and was injured in the line of duty at Ground Zero on September 16, 2001. He is the author of FIREHOUSE DOWN Life After Ground Zero and has another book soon to be released. He is the proud father of three children and has been married for almost twenty years. He is a third generation firefighter and has donated all the proceeds of his most recent book to various charities.

____________
"Through SUPPORT AMERICAN MILITARY I’ve made very substantial progress with my symptoms. I realize that I can’t just get rid of these feelings but I can learn to live with them, and help others who are in the same boat that I am. I am truly grateful for this organization and I hope its future goals are achieved."
-Cpl. M. Talbot,
United States Marine Corps

Susan Hagen and Mary Carouba, the authors of Women at Ground Zero: Stories of Courage and Compassion, provide inspirational writing workshops and keynote presentations. Researching and writing the only book to honor the female heroes of 9/11 was a life-changing journey for Mary, a retired social worker and children's advocate, and Susan, a retired firefighter and award-winning writer. They draw upon their own experiences to help others give voice to their stories, act on their dreams, and recognize the potential of their own lives.
